TOTTENHAM are reportedly ready to offer Harry Kane a double-your-money deal in order to fend off interest from Premier League suitors.
The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half year contract worth £35,000-a-week in February.
Manchester United were credited with a strong interest in Kane in the summer and considered tabling a bid in excess of £40million.
Chelsea are now thought to be sniffing around Kane, as they seek to bolster their flagging strikeforce.
Diego Costa’s long-term future is far from certain, especially as he was dropped by Jose Mourinho for the goalless draw away to Spurs yesterday.
But according to Goal, Spurs have held talks with Kane’s representatives over a new deal worth £70,000 a week.
The report states that sources close to the north London outfit insist the club won’t listen to offers for Kane.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has already spelled his intentions for Kane, as he said: “I am happy that a big club want our players - this is because they show they are a top player with top performances.
"It is good when they are linked. But Harry, like Hugo Lloris, wants to stay here.”
