NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you all the latest transfer news from around the Premier League.
Chelsea have been told they can have Shakhtar Donetsk striker Alex Teixeira if they stump up the £30million asking price.
The Brazilian, 25, is the leading marksman across every league in Europe and claims he has an offer on the table from the Blues and is hoping a deal can be struck.
“I have an offer, it was a pleasure to know that Chelsea want to sign me. It would be great if the transfer happens in January," he said last month.
Chelsea are also understood to be interested in Mario Gomez, who is currently on loan at Besiktas from Fiorentina.
The Germany international, 30, remains a target for Manchester United as well, with his fine form this season has catching the eye of manager Louis van Gaal.
He has scored eight league goals this term and gave any potential suitors a boost in their bid to sign him.
"After two difficult years, I feel very good in Istanbul and do not want to return to Fiorentina," he said.
Mauro Icardi is another striker who will be in high demand come January.
Arsenal have been linked along with almost all of the leading clubs in the Premier League.
However, Liverpool are now said to be the frontrunners for his signature.
The 22-year-old is high on manager Jurgen Klopp's list of priorities as he seeks to add attacking reinforcements in January.
Icardi is valued at around £25million.
