Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is looking to set up a reunion with his former striker Mario Gomez.
The pair worked together when Van Gaal was boss at Bayern Munich and has impressed at Besiktas this season, with eight goals in 11 league games.
Gomez, 30, is currently on loan in Turkey from Fiorentina but on a permanent basis in the January transfer window.

Attackers appear to be the priority for Van Gaal and Leroy Sane is another player who is reported to be of interest.
