Windows 10 brought a radical new look to the Microsoft OS. Here is how to customise it |
MICROSOFT has added some impressive new customisation options within the menus of Windows 10.
Microsoft rolled out its new operating system – which unites the user experience across smartphones, tablets and desktop computers for the first time, earlier this summer.
The new OS has seen huge adoption and has been widely praised for its new design and stability.
However Microsoft has come under fire after a number of users reported sluggish boot-up times, problems with accuracy when tracking location, wifi troubles and issues with child safety settings after upgrading to Windows 10.
But if your system is up-and-running smoothly, it might be time to delve into the myriad of new options and customisations Microsoft has baked into its latest operating system.
One nice addition to Windows 10 is the software's ability to automatically change the system interface colour scheme whenever you pick a desktop wallpaper.
This Chameleon option brings an entirely new look to your desktop, tablet or smartphone simply by changing your background image.
Microsoft has created an online store for professionally-designed Themes |
Themes are free to download and sync across your Windows 10 devices, including tablets and desktop |
To set-up the option, simply navigate to the Personalisation section of the Settings app.
Choose Colours, then toggle the option marked Automatically Pick An Accent Colour From My Background to on.
It's also worth enabling the Show Colour on Start, Taskbar and Action Centre option as well.
You're then ready to change your desktop wallpaper and watch Windows 10 morph to try and match your chosen snap.
And if all of this sounds like too much trouble, Microsoft has bundled a stack of professionally-designed Themes for your computer too.
If you click on Themes then Theme settings, you will be able to see your current preferences, as well as a link to create a new Theme, or download some alternatives from Microsoft themselves.
Themes are a quick way of changing the operating system interface colours, backgrounds and more.
