Wilfried Bony: I've had the worst year of my career since leaving Swansea for Man City

FRUSTRATED Wilfried Bony admits 2015 has been the worst year of his career.
Striker Bony has struggled for fitness, form and goals since his £28million move to Manchester City from Swansea in the January transfer window.
He has scored only twice in 19 appearances – mostly from the bench – and has yet to find the net this season with his hopes of making an impact hampered by manager Manuel Pellegrini's decision to play with Sergio Aguero as a lone striker this season.
But with suffered on international duty with Argentina last week, Ivory Coast star Bony will get the chance to finally kick-start his City career.
And he is vowing to deliver the goals and prove he is not an expensive misfit.
“A lot of crazy things have happened since I joined City and I’ve been ruled out with injury three or four times so it’s been hard to find any rhythm playing one or two games here and there," he said.
“It’s been the worst spell of my career without question – in the past five years I’d never missed more than two games in a row and at Swansea I only missed a handful of matches and that was mostly because of a red card I received.

Bony has scored just two goals for City since his transfer from Swansea
“I’ve had nothing but bad luck in the past year, but hopefully, that’s the end of it now.
"It’s not been the best time for me in that respect and has been very frustrating, but hopefully the City fans will now see the new Bony.
“All I need is the first goal to come and hopefully many others will follow.”
Bony, 26, missed the first month of his City career because of international duty at the African Nations Cup.

And since then he has had ankle, hamstring and foot injuries plus an illness that prevented him from going on City’s pre-season tour to Australia and Vietnam.
He has sympathy for Aguero but is determined to seize his chance - starting when Bournemouth visit the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
“It’s never good when your team-mates are injured but that’s the way football goes sometimes,” he told the City website.
“Now I need to take things game by game and work hard. I have to take my chance and score goals for the team – that’s why I’m here."
