Halo 5's future could include the PC as well as the Xbox One |
Halo franchise director, Frank O’Connor, has spoken more about the latest game's scope, including whether it will ever make the leap to PC.
It's a hot topic with fans, some who jumped at the chance to try out a new Halo Online title that was exclusive to Russia earlier this year, who would like to see more than just the cross party play promised by Xbox's latest added features.
“You know, Microsoft has made a huge commitment trying sort of… I think normalise the Windows experience across multiple platforms," O’Connor told Gamesradar via Twitch.
"You see the elements of Windows 10 are going to appear in Xbox and Cortana and stuff like that.
"There is a chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC. Nothing to announce at this point… you know, we developed the game on an Intel platform.
"It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff.
"But nothing I announce today on this chat.”
Speaking of the future of the Halo franchise, it seemed that is was set for a limited run before Bonnie Ross became head of the newly created 343 Industries back in 2009.
