Elder Scrolls Online is currently down on PS4, Xbox One and PC |
UPDATE ONE: Zenimax Studios have offered a new update on the Elder Scrolls Online server situation, revealing that the team are still on track to complete the maintenance by 10pm.
"Maintenance is going well, and we're still on track to open in a couple hours," a message from the support team reads.
"Thanks again for your patience!"
All North American megaservers were taken offline to perform datacenter maintenance yesterday but this appears to have caused a ripple effect for its European counterpart, effectively leaving all fans unable to play the game.
Zenimax say further maintenance today could last until 10pm, UK time and is being conducted to stop further unplanned outages to the title.
The update is also being done now to make sure no problems affect the launch of the Orsinium DLC, which is planned for next week.

An official message from the support team reads: "Tomorrow, October 28, we will be performing additional maintenance on both the North American and European megaservers for all platforms to complete our planned work.
"In short, we are upgrading our hardware and fixing bugs that could potentially cause unplanned outages, and want to do this before Orsinium is published next week to ensure a smooth launch.
"This maintenance will begin at 4:00am EDT, and could last upwards of six hours. While we always try to minimise downtime, please understand that regular maintenance is necessary for the health of the game and helps us reduce unplanned maintenances."
A further update from the team has revealed that the planned outage has been extended to make sure the work can be completed today.
"We still have quite a bit of work to complete, and the new ETA is 6:00pm EDT," a message from Zenimax reads.
"We apologise for the extended downtime, and are going as quickly as we can. This maintenance for the datacenter is a necessary evil, though, and will prevent future issues (such as outages) from occurring.
"We'll continue to update everyone as we receive news."
Elder Scrolls Online on PS4 and Xbox One was hit by severe server issues during its launch earlier this year.
