SEYDOU DOUMBIA has been granted his visa and has been cleared to play against Everton.
The 28-year-old signed on a loan deal until the end of the season on transfer deadline day.
And now the prerequisite paperwork has been completed to allow Doumbia to make his Premier League debut against Everton at Goodison Park.
But having only arrived at Newcastle on Monday morning, it is likely that Steve McClaren will name the striker on the bench as opposed to thrusting him straight into the starting line-up.
The Ivorian has not played competitive football since his last Champions League appearance for CSKA Moscow where he had returned after an unsuccessful £11million move to Roma.
But now Doumbia has put pen to paper on a temporary deal with Newcastle which will cost the club £500,000 but there is an option in the deal to make his switch a permanent one for a reported £10m.
