Manchester City have joined the race to sign Manchester United target Claudio Bravo, according to reports.
It was announced yesterday that Pep Guardiola will be replacing Manuel Pellegrini as manager of City at the end of the season.
And according to Spanish newspaper AS, the 45-year-old is looking to make Bravo one of his first signings at the Etihad as he wants to provide competition for Joe Hart.
United are also interested in the shot-stopper, with the Red Devils eyeing Bravo as a potential replacement for David De Gea if he joins Real Madrid.
Barcelona have no intention of selling the keeper, so both clubs will be forced into activating his £30.4m release clause if they are to get their man.
Michael Appleton has snubbed the chance to take over Manchester United's youth academy.
That is according to The Times, who claim he will instead remain at Oxford United.
This snub comes after United were rejected by Tottenham's head of coaching and player development John McDermott.
