LEROY SANE is not heading to the Premier League any time soon, according to Schalke's chief executive.

Liverpool and Manchester City rocked as chief rules out £40m midfielder move
Neither Klopp nor Guardiola will sign Sane next summer according to Schalke

Liverpool and Manchester City have been monitoring his progress and were linked with January moves.
And now club chairman Clemens Tonnies claims he believes Sane will be with the club for quite some time yet.

"I do not see Leroy Sane leaving Schalke any time soon," Tonnies told German newspaper Rheinische Post.
"Everybody who wants the best for him has been telling him that he should stay at Schalke for at least one more season.
"You can still see him developing game after game."

The attacking midfielder burst onto the European football stage when he scored one and set up another as Schalke beat Real Madrid 4-3 at the Bernabeu in March 2015.
The victory was not enough to see the German side progress past the last 16 of the Champions League but Sane's reputation had been established.
And having made his Germany debut in November 2015, Sane is now a key part of Andre Breitenreiter's Schalke side with six goals and five assists in his 24 appearance this season.

Jurgen Klopp had reportedly been hoping to swoop for the player having admitted his admiration for Sane from his days in Germany with Borussia Dortmund.
However, Manchester City have been closely monitoring the player and are sure to match any bid the Anfield outfit put in.
But Schalke are clearly desperate to hang onto their man and with Barcelona and Real Madrid also involved a bidding war could send the price sky high.
