Pep Guardiola will gear up for his first season in the Premier League by taking Manchester City to China this summer.
City have today officially confirmed that they will take part in the International Champions Cup pre-season tournament for the third summer running - with at least two games likely to be staged in China.
A statement from the club said: "Manchester City are delighted to announce that this summer they will be playing in China during their annual pre-season tour, participating once again in the International Champions Cup."
City will reveal details of fixtures and venues later but it was widely expected that China would be their destination this summer after their Abu Dhabi owners sold a 13 per cent stake to a China Media Capital-led consortium in December.
City confirmed earlier this week that Guardiola will replace current boss Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season.
And China is familiar pre-season territory for Guardiola, who visited the country with Barcelona and his current club Bayern Munich.
