TOTTENHAM'S hopes of signing Saido Berahino could be dashed after winger Andros Townsend reportedly refused to be part of the deal.
Spurs are determined to land former England U21 striker Berahino this January after failing to sign him last summer.
West Brom rejected a £22million offer for their ace at the start of the season, insisting they didn't need to sell.
Berahino even threatened to go on strike to push through the move - but the Baggies wouldn't budge.
Yet Spurs' interest has remained and it is thought they are ready to offer West Brom a £20m fee and throw winger Townsend into the bargain.
Townsend, 24, is reportedly seeking games in an effort to break into Roy Hodgson's England squad for Euro 2016.
But Sky Sports claim he will not consider a move to the Hawthorns.
The Daily Telegraph add that Spurs are seeking at least £14m for Townsend if he is sold up front.
The academy product has been sent on loan to nine different clubs during his professional career at White Hart Lane.
As for Berahino, he scored only his fourth goal of the season in West Brom's 2-2 FA Cup draw with Bristol City on Saturday but is in line to play against Chelsea in the Premier League tomorrow night (7.45pm).
