SHAKHTAR DONETSK chief executive Sergei Palkin has revealed they will only consider selling Alex Teixeira in the summer, and not before Monday's January deadline.

Shakhtar Donetsk chief ends Liverpool hopes of signing Alex Teixeira with new revelation
Could Liverpool's move for Alex Teixeira be scuppered?

The Reds have had one bid of £24.5million for Teixeira rejected and are reluctant to meet Shakhtar's asking price of around £38m.

And Palkin insists no January deal will be done for the 26-year-old, while also revealing he has a buy-out clause of £50m.
“They offered €32m (£24.4m) with a €4m (£3m) bonus,” Palkin told TV channel Football 1.
“We obviously refused to accept it.

“Our position is that we do not want to sell Teixeira today. We will sell only at the end of the season. We need to show serious results in Europa League and Ukrainian Championship.
“At the end of the season we will sit down at the negotiating table.
“His buyout clause is €70m (£53m). Target it if you want it now. We don’t mind.”
