LEEDS star Sam Byram will undergo a medical at Everton ahead of a £3.7million move, according to reports.
Website Football Insider claim his move will be completed by the end of the week after the Merseysiders’ bid was accepted by the Championship club yesterday.
Everton sent scout Ian Atkins to watch Byram during Leeds’ 2-1 defeat to Ipswich on Tuesday.
Byram can play in midfield or at full-back and is one of the brightest English prospects in the Championship.
The 22-year-old is out of contract this summer, and chairman Massimo Cellino has chosen to accept the bid from Everton now rather than risk letting a tribunal set a lower fee for him in the summer.
Roberto Martinez’s side have beaten off competition from the likes of Aston Villa, Watford and Newcastle United to land Byram.
West Ham were also interested, and have not given up hope of signing Byram despite Everton already having a bid accepted.
