The former Lazio forward started his first game since Boxing Day 2013 on Tuesday as rock-bottom Villa got their first Premier League victory since the opening day of the season.
But the Czech Republic star, who missed 18 months of action after breaking his leg and then fell out of favour, could still be made available by boss Remi Garde.

Garde said: “I was pleased the way he played.
“I would have liked it if he score one or two goals, like with every striker and he probably has the same feeling.
 
“But he worked very hard with a very good attitude in training sessions, that's why I thought I could give him an opportunity to play.
“Even if he didn't score he worked very hard for the team.
“Let's say for now he is still an Aston Villa player and we will see (what happens).

“For the moment I have no offer on the table. It's only speculation.”
