NEW Sunderland striker Dame N'Doye is unavailable to face Tottenham at White Hart Lane tomorrow - but Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is still wary of the Black Cats.
N'Doye agreed a six-month loan deal at the Stadium of Light yesterday after struggling to get a game at Turkish side Trabzonspor.
His wait for a work permit means he will not play any part in the trip to London.
But Pochettino insists relegation-threatened Sunderland are dangerous and highlighted Jermain Defoe, who bagged a hat-trick in their 4-2 win at Swansea on Wednesday, as their biggest threat.
"(He is) a great player, a top goalscorer. His quality is great. It's not new for us," Pochettino said.
"All the teams Allardyce has managed are very tough. (But) you need to be careful with all the opponents.
"Always in the Premier League games are very tough. We will expect another tough game against Sunderland."
Spurs could move within a point of third-place Manchester City if results go their way on Saturday.
They lost 1-0to Leicester in midweek but remain a point above fifth-place West Ham in the race for a top-four finish.
As for N'Doye, the former FC Copenhagen and Hull City striker spoke to Sunderland's club website about his move.
"I’m happy to be here,” said N’Doye. “There are many good players in the Premier League and it is hard league so you have to be tough and concentrate.
“Scoring in the Premier League is fantastic so I will try my best to adapt not just to the league but to the team.”
“I already know Yann M’Vila because he was playing in Moscow when I was there so hopefully that will help me settle in.
“Clubs change but we know are job and we’re here to do our best and make people happy.
"It is a good experience to be able to play with a different team in the Premier League.”
