Gotze was given his big break under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, coming through the ranks and becoming one of Europe's most sought-after midfield talents.
He then moved to Bayern in 2013 when they triggered a £27.5million release clause in his contract, but has since fallen out of favour with coach Pep Guardiola.
"I haven't decided what will happen after the season," he added.
"Everything depends on the plans of the new coach. I have not thought about my future much due to my recent injuries but as I said: nothing has been decided yet.
"I want to play. Everything else, we’ll see in the summer."
Bayern's price-tag for Gotze is thought to be in the region of £37m - should they decide to sell.
But Munich chief Matthias Sammer has poured cold water on speculation linking the winger with a move away from the club.
"Every day new nonsense comes along," he said. "That is all I am going to say on this."
