MANCHESTER UNITED will have to break the bank if they want to sign Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
Louis van Gaal hasn't concealed the fact United desperately need more pace up front.
Recent reports indicate United, who have been coveting Lukaku, would have to wait until the summer before submitting a £40million bid.
But The Sun claim Everton are demanding £65m for the Belgian goal-getter.
The report suggests Lukaku is expected to receive widespread interest with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City also monitoring his situation.
It is thought Everton are well aware Lukaku is sought-after and have placed a whopping price tag on him to deter suitors.
Lukaku has fired 19 goals in all competitions this term.
