Man Utd Player Ratings: In-form Rooney stuns Liverpool as Fellaini and Lingard flop
Fellaini was poor for Manchester United

De Gea - Kept his team in the match with several key saves as Liverpool dominated the match. But amid speculation over his future, De Gea underlined his great importance to Manchester United - 8
Young - Brought off in the first half with an injury but found it hard to break forward when he was on the field - 5
Smalling - The lack of a recognised Liverpool striker until the closing stages helped the centre back. Was United's best defender - 7
Blind - The Dutchman's pace was exposed at times but his calmness is his best attribute - 6
Darmian - Started at left back and was caught out of position regularly. But when he reverted to right-back, the Italian was far better - 6

Schneiderlin - Looked more like the player who dominated the midfield for Southampton last season. United needed him at his best this afternoon - 7
Fellaini - Fortunate not to see red for a stamp on Lucas in the first half and it was a surprise it took until the 75th minute for him to pick up a booking. The Belgian looks out of place as a Manchester United player - 4
Lingard - After his goal against Newcastle in midweek this was an ineffective display by the youngster. Unable to get into the game at all - 4
Herrera - An industrious performance by the Spaniard. Combative and strong in midfield - 6
Martial - Always a threat with his pace but he was wasteful with his end product today - 6
Rooney - Another player who struggled but he has been a match winner throughout his career and he demonstrated it again with a class finish to win the match - 7
