DAVID DE GEA could be set to join Real Madrid in January, according to bookmakers.
The Manchester United goalkeeper is a long-term target for the Spanish giants and saw a deadline day move to Bernabeu fall through last September.
De Gea has since returned to the fold at Old Trafford, impressing for Louis van Gaal's side this season.
But the Spain international could become the subject of January interest from Madrid after the La Liga club were hit by a transfer ban.

Real and local rivals Atletico Madrid have both been banned from registering players in the next two windows as a punishment for breaching rules over the transfers of minors.
And leading bookmakers Ladbrokes price De Gea at just 6/4 to sign for Real this month.
A Ladbrokes spokesman said: "Real Madrid’s impending transfer ban could mean a mad scramble to acquire talent and it’s no secret that De Gea remains at the top of the club’s wishlist."
Odds have also been cut on Tottenham striker Harry Kane moving to the Bernabeu in January to 8/1 with Everton ace John Stones priced at 25/1 to make the same move.
