DEJAN LOVREN believes Liverpool must "fight more" following their defeat to West Ham.
The Reds suffered a 2-0 loss to West Ham at Upton Park as goals from Michail Antonio and Andy Carroll handed Liverpool a miserable start to 2016.
Emre Can came closest to scoring for Jurgen Klopp's side with his curling effort from the edge of the box clipping the bar on the stroke of half-time.
But Liverpool looked shaky at the back and conceded two "easy goals," according to Lovren.
"We need to change our mentality. We need to keep, I would say, a better run of the games and to fight more. Definitely. It was two easy goals," the defender told LFC TV.
Klopp was unhappy with his side's performance admitting that his term were far from their best.
"I'm really angry today because we could have got so much more because everybody could see in the moments we play football what could happen," Klopp said.
"Today, we deserved to lose. We always had the ball, we could have made much more chances but we didn't.
"We have to again accept that we didn't play like we should."
