CHELSEA are set to complete the signing of Alexandre Pato in order for him to make his debut against Arsenal, according to reports.
Reports have suggested some Blues players believe the 26-year-old will move to Stamford Bridge this week.
And The Independent claim Pato will complete his switch in time to face Arsenal on Sunday (4pm).
Chelsea travel to the Emirates to take on Arsene Wenger's side with doubts surrounding their existing strikers.
Costa's deputy Loic Remy is not injured but has spent most of the season on the bench while third-choice Radamel Falcao is sidelined with a thigh problem.
Chelsea have moved for Pato to ease their striking problems, because he is available and is not cup-tied for the Champions League.
Pato had also been offered to Liverpool and Tottenham but could now line up for Chelsea against the Gunners as they look to get their Premier League season back on track.
