CHELSEA have held successful talks with Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to reports.
Lavezzi is out of contract with PSG in the summer and he is unlikely to sign a new deal with the French champions.
The Argentinian has been attracting interest from Inter Milan and Barcelona, while Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with moves.
But the Blues appear to be in pole position to sign the 30-year-old.
The Times claim his representatives were pleased with the outcome of a meeting with the Premier League champions.
Chelsea are targeting Lavezzi as they face the prospect of losing two key playmakers in the summer.
Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, while Pedro, a summer signing from Barcelona, has struggled to adapt to the Premier League.
Lavezzi joined PSG in 2012 after spending five years with Napoli, and the forward has 47 international caps.
