LIVERPOOL and Manchester City have been told in no uncertain terms they will not being signing Leroy Sane.
The 19-year-old prodigy has been linked with a move to the Premier League as with both Jurgen Klopp and Manuel Pellegrini keen on the player, who can play across the frontline.
Reports suggest that a bid of £40million had been required to convince Schalke to part with their player.
But now it seems as though any potential move is off after club chairman Clemens Tonnies told local press Sane would not be leaving.
"We've decided Leroy isn't for sale," Tonnies told Recklinghauser Zeitung.
"And the player does not want to leave Schalke. So that’s not an issue."
The German has been with Schalke since the age of 15 and three years later made his first-team debut in April 2014.
Despite still being a teenager, the attacking midfielder has already made his debut for the German national team, having started against France in Paris on November 13.
Sane has now become a crucial part of Andre Breitenreiter's Schalke team, having made 17 Bundesliga appearances with four goals and four assists.
And with the player seemingly satisfied with life in Germany and 18 months still remaining on his contract, it will take a hefty bid from any club to test his loyalty.
