Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone wants to sell Jackson Martinez to Arsenal, according to reports.

The Colombian has struggled for form this season in La Liga, netting three times in 19 appearances.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Martinez, with Chelsea also said to be interested in his services.

But Spanish publication Don Balon claim Simeone wants Martinez to join Arsenal in the hope of his side signing Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi.

Mohamed Elneny’s impending arrival at Arsenal is set be completed today, according to reports.

The Egyptian has agreed a £7.4m move from Basel following a successful medical in Paris and he is now expected to move to London to officially complete the deal.

Guardian journalist Ed Aarons tweeted yesterday: “Told that Mohamed Elneny is still in Paris but should complete his move to Arsenal tomorrow if all goes to plan. Permit ok… #afc.”

Egyptian publication KingFut also confirmed that Elneny will arrive in the country’s capital today be unveiled as an Arsenal player.

The report claims the Egypt international has signed a four-and-a-half year deal.

 

David Ospina is edging closer to an exit from the Emirates.

The Colombia international is reportedly keen on leaving the Gunners after losing his place in the starting XI to Petr Cech.

And the Daily Mirror claim Turkish side Besiktas are willing to offer him a way out.

Ospina has made just three appearances this season.
