ARSENAL have made another bid for Leicester's Ben Chilwell as they seek to beat their Premier League rivals to his signature, according to reports.
The Gunners had a £3million bid for the 19-year-old rejected in the summer as Arsene Wenger looked to boost his homegrown contingent.
And the Mirror are reporting that despite Chilwell having failed to appear in the Premier League so far this season Wenger has come back to Leicester with an improved deal.
But the left-back is likely to have a number of offers in front of him even if a bid is accepted.
Both Liverpool and Manchester City have made enquiries about a move for the player and are expected to match an bid that is accepted.
And current employers Leicester have also offered the England under-21 an improved contract in an effort to convince him stay at the King Power Stadium.
Should Chilwell move to north London, he will have to compete with Nacho Monreal for playing time after the Spaniard signed a new contract this week.
But fellow Englishman Kieran Gibbs is expected to leave this summer which would leave Chilwell first in line for first-team minutes should Monreal pick up an injury.
And with his chances at Leicester apparently restricted only to cup football at the moment, the Milton Keynes-born defender may see a move the Arsenal as the right one for his career.
Chilwell has also spent time on loan at Huddersfield Town in the Championship this season but has been tipped to step up to the Premier League.
