Arsenal have loaned midfielder Glen Kamara to Southend United for the remainder of the season.
Southend boss Phil Brown said: "We have been chasing Glen for about six weeks now and I’m very pleased to have got the deal done.
"The opportunity presented itself yesterday to get the deal done and, just like the others players we have brought in, I think it will help us improve significantly."
Olivier Giroud has warned of the threat of Manchester United and Tottenham on the Gunner's Premier League title hopes.
"We have a bit of an advantage over Manchester United and Tottenham at the moment but they could come back if you lose two games, you never know.
"I just take the games step by step, game by game, like the team. We needed to bounce back after the Southampton defeat and now we are on a really good run."
Arsene Wenger has warned his Arsenal stars they face a battle with Chelsea hitman Diego Costa this Sunday (4pm).
"We have to be prepared for a battle because Costa gives you a fight, after that, it's down to the referee," he said.
"It's a difficult subject. We have to focus on our performance and forget a little bit about him."
