STOKE are preparing a surprise late move to sign Dynamo Kiev ace Andriy Yarmolenko, according to reports.
The 26-year-old Ukraine international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Everton said to be keen on signing him.
However, according to The Sun, Stoke have entered the race to sign the striker and are willing to break the bank to bring him to the Britannia.
The Potters paid a club-record fee of £12million for Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter Milan last summer, but Mark Hughes is prepared to smash that and pay over £20m to make Yarmolenko a Stoke player.
Stoke will face competition to sign the player, however, with both Arsenal and Everton prepared to pay a significant sum to lure him to England before deadline day.
In November, Kiev boss Sergei Rebrov admitted Yarmolenko's future would hinge on his relationship with club president Ihor Surkis.
"I can see his progress and that other teams are interested in him but it all depends on his relationship with the president," he said.
"If you are asking me then I don't want to sell the player, I want to keep him in the team.
"But, at the end of the day, it's all about the relationship with the president."
Yarmolenko has been impressive form this season, scoring 13 goals in 22 appearances for Kiev.
