ARSENAL and Newcastle have enquired into the availability of Roma striker Seydou Doumbia.
That is according to Rome-based daily Il Messaggero, who claim Roma are keen to offload the striker before the transfer window closes tomorrow.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly in the market for a striker to offer Olivier Giroud support as he looks to boost his side's title chances.
While Newcastle boss Steve McClaren has made no secret of his desire to bolster his attacking options this month in a bid to escape the relegation zone.
And the Premier League pair have are thought to have set their sights on Doumbia, who has also been linked with moves to Leicester and Sunderland.
The Ivory Coast international joined the Serie A outfit last January for around £12million after his impressive four-year stint at CSKA Moscow.
But the 28-year-old managed just two goals in 14 appearances and was sent back to CSKA on loan, but the deal was cut short earlier this month.
