Chelsea have been warned off a move for Antoine Griezmann |
NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest transfer news from the Premier League.
Arsenal are considering a move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka in January, according to the Daily Mail.
Xhaka has been linked with Bayern Munich but the Gunners are understood to have scouted him Gladbach's Champions League tie with Manchester City.
It's understood Arsene Wenger sees the 23-year-old as a valuable reinforcement to his injury-hit midfield, having lost Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta in recent weeks.
Liverpool have been boosted by the news that Ilkay Gundogan is yet to hold contract talks with Borussia Dortmund.
"Ilkay is one of our key players. We'll talk with him in due time on the future, but we still have a little time," sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild.
But, while the Bundesliga club clearly value his services, the 25-year-old has revealed his admiration for former boss Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has warned Chelsea off approaching Antoine Griezmann in the January transfer window.
"Players play where they want to play and right now, Griezman's thoughts are not on a sheik or blue princess [Chelsea] coming to sign him," he told Cadena Cope.
"His thoughts are at Atletico Madrid, he want to be at Atletico Madrid. He proved this by signing a renewal recently."
