The real reason why Manchester United are reluctant to swoop for Pep Guardiola
Manchester United are reluctant to swap Louis van Gaal with Pep Guardiola
MANCHESTER UNITED have been put off of a move for Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola because they fear he is heading to Manchester City.

Senior sources at Old Trafford have insisted they were happy with the progress being made under Louis van Gaal.
There was even talk of the club extending Van Gaal's contract past 2017, when his original three-year deal runs out.
But with United crashing out of the Champions League after last night's 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg, questions have been raised about Van Gaal's future.

The United boss said after last night's defeat: "At the moment, I cannot defend myself because we are out of the Champions League."
But he went on to state the "facts" prove United are better than last season because the team had gone further in the League Cup.
United's demanding fans are unhappy, many of whom are struggling to tolerate the defensive style of play Van Gaal has brought to the club.
And with Guardiola available many are calling for a change in the Old Trafford hot seat.

In News News Blog Sport's poll 44% of United fans called for Guardiola replace Van Gaal.
The Spaniard is rumoured to prefer a move to the red side of Manchester rather than blue.
United fans would be right to suggest that club officials should make a discreet enquiry to the man regarded as the best coach in the world.
But United believe that it would not be worthwhile as they think the 44-year-old is heading to City.
