LOUIS VAN GAAL has made four changes for his make-or-break clash with Chelsea.

Teams: Manchester United make four changes as Rooney starts, Hazard to lead Chelsea line
Wayne Rooney returns to the starting line-up

Rooney came off the bench as United were beaten 2-0 by Stoke on Boxing Day, but the club captain will once again start up front as the Red Devils seek to arrest a run of three straight Premier League defeats.
Meanwhile Guus Hiddink names Eden Hazard in his starting line-up for the first time in the absence of suspended Diego Costa, one of three changes made from the side that drew 2-2 with Watford at Stamford Bridge.
Neither Cesc Fabregas or Gary Cahill are in the matchday squad at Old Trafford, meaning that John Obi Mikel will partner Nemanja Matic in a combative midfield, while Kurt Zouma is back in alongside captain John Terry.

Manchester United: De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Young, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Mata, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.
Subs: Romero, Borthwick-Jackson, Jones, Carrick, Fellaini, Pereira, Memphis.

Chelsea: Courtois, Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry, Azpilicueta, Mikel, Matic, Willian, Oscar, Pedro, Hazard.
Subs: Begovic, Baba Rahman, Djilobodji, Ramires, Loftus-Cheek, Traore, Kenedy.
