Mamadou Sakho is reportedly keen on a move to Serie A |
MAMADOU SAKHO is a target for Roma in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Italian publication Corriere dello Sport claim the club's sporting director Walter Sabatini has been in contact with Liverpool.
It's understood he has enquired about the availability of the 25-year-old ahead of a January swoop.
However, the injury the Croatian suffered against West Brom last Sunday, that has ruled him out for at least three weeks, could mean a move is off the cards.
With so few options at the heart of defence, Jurgen Klopp may be forced into keeping the former Paris Saint-Germain defender to fill the breach.
Although, talk of a deal for Borussia Dortmund outcast Neven Subotic could lessen Liverpool's defensive strains.
And should the Serbia international sign in January, his arrival would certainly pave the way for Sakho's move to the Serie A side.
