SERGIO AGUERO has revealed it will be almost impossible for Manchester City to sign his international team-mate Lionel Messi.
repeatedly linked Messi with a move to Man CityReports have , especially after a difficult year off the pitch at Barcelona involving a fraud investigation into his tax affairs.
And while Aguero would be delighted to form a partnership in Manchester with the four-time Ballon d’Or winner, he has conceded it is now unlikely.
"It's very difficult for Leo to leave Barcelona, because he's played there since he was very young and it's not easy for him to think about another team," Aguero said.
"So no... hopefully he can be here at City obviously, but of course it's always the player's decision and I think he's very comfortable and very calm in Barcelona."
Speculation has also linked ex-Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola with a move to City when his deal expires at Bayern Munich in the summer.
Should the Spaniard replace Manuel Pellegrini, he would be the third member of the hierarchy to end up there having been at Barcelona, joining director of football Txiki Begiristain and CEO Ferran Soriano.
And Aguero was keen to stress that if Messi did join the ex-Barcelona men in Manchester, he would have no trouble adapting to the Premier League
"If [Messi] wants to come here, let him come," Aguero added.
"He's the best in the world, he can handle the Chinese league too.
“Because he's the best in the world there's always pressure in any country. If you're the best player in the world you can be the best anywhere."
