LUKE SHAW has given Manchester United fans some good news going into the festive period.
The 20-year-old sustained a double leg fracture following a tackle by PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno during a Champions League group game in September.
Shaw at the time was not expected to return to first-team football until March at the earliest.
However, the left-back has confirmed he is well on track with his rehabilitation process.
He tweeted: "Heading back home to London for Christmas! Legs feeling really good!
"Hope everyone has a good Christmas."

Daley Blind has had to fill in for Shaw recently.
United face a make-or-break run of games, starting off with Stoke on Saturday (12:45pm).
