Man Utd News: Giggs to help Martial, youngster backed for first-team, 'new Ronaldo' battle
Anthony Martial has not scored a Premier League goal since September

NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you all the latest news from Old Trafford.

Mikael Silvestre believes Ryan Giggs has a key role in Anthony Martial’s development.
The young striker made a bright start to his United career but has scored just twice in 18 appearances for club and country.
But Silvestre isn’t too concerned and he expects assistant manager Giggs to have an important influence on Martial’s career.
He said: "At a club like Manchester United, there are expectations. At some point, he will start to feel the pressure.
"He will improve and then people will not forgive him if he doesn't score in two or three games in a row.

"I think that Ryan will have a good relationship with Anthony to help him improve.
"Even though Ryan was a winger, he played with strikers. He knows their attitudes, their movements, he knows how to read the game.
"He will have the words and the will to build a good relationship with Anthony to help him improve."
Manchester United academy coach Paul McGuinness reckons young striker Marcus Rashford could be ready to make the step up into the first team.

Rashford was on the bench for recent matches against Watford and Leicester and McGuinness, who has overseen his development feels the 18-year-old is growing in stature.
"Marcus has done very well and we’re getting him to be more focused on the goals now," said McGuinness.
"He’s improved a lot and is ready for a step up as well. I think he can play in all the teams now - the Under-21s, Under-19s and Under-18s and so on.
"He’s working hard and getting rewards.

"He needs to now get a real goal addiction. He needs to score every type of goal.
"He can score unbelievable goals, but he needs to be more like Ruud van Nistelrooy where it goes in off his knee, or comes back off the bar or the keeper and he puts in the rebound."
United are understood to be keeping tabs on Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes.
The 19-year-old has been touted as the 'new Cristiano Ronaldo' and the Daily Star claim United are in a race with Arsenal and Chelsea for the player.
