LOUIS VAN GAAL is hopeful Matteo Darmian will be fit to play against Chelsea after missing their last four matches with injury.
The Italian defender limped off in the first half of their 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg earlier this month with a hamstring injury.
And he has subsequently the consecutive defeats to Bournemouth and Norwich City.
Van Gaal said: "I think Matteo Darmian shall come [back] next week and then maybe already against Chelsea.
"We have to see that but, of course, we have injuries that take a long time for example Shaw, Valencia and Rojo and you cannot change that."
