LOUIS VAN GAAL has told Manchester United’s supporters to stick with him and help his team get through their bad slump.
United suffered a disastrous 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend, just four days on from their Champions League exit at the hands of Wolfsburg.
United haven't won in five games, and Van Gaal has faced criticism from fans for his team's bland style of play.
And the United boss admitted he understood their discontent but urged them to stick with him and his players.
“That is always like that when you lose,” he said. “Fans have to prove their belief again. And, when you lose, that is less at that moment.
“The board of directors can see what you can do as a manager, but the fans cannot see that. So when you lose, you need the belief of the fans.
“But that’s a question for the fans, not for the manager.”
