Liverpool legend: This is the big difference between axed Chelsea boss Mourinho and Klopp
Jurgen Klopp beat Jose Mourinho's Chelsea 3-1 in October

JAN MOLBY believes the difference between axed Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is their treatment of players.

Mourinho was sacked by the Blues following a poor start to the season, just seven months after winning the Premier League.
The Portuguese clashed with several players including captain John Terry, Nemanja Matic, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.

And Molby, who played 292 times for Liverpool, feels Mourinho's fractious relationship with his stars led to his downfall and is in complete contrast to the feel-good atmosphere Klopp has brought to Anfield.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "When things do start to go wrong for Mourinho he doesn't seem to have the tools to fight back.

"Once it starts to unravel then it just goes wrong.
"Once he falls out with a player for whatever reason – and I've been a manager myself and you do fall out with players – you have to get them back on board. He doesn't appear to be able to do that.
"Contrast that to our own Jurgen Klopp. What he was doing right at the end on Sunday is very much a German thing where the players link hands and have a couple of minutes with the fans.

"I don't think for one minute they were celebrating, they were trying to thank the fans.
"I also do believe he is trying to get a feel-good factor among the players and the fans even when things are not quite going our way.
"He understands the importance of the fans being onside and being vocal."
