FABIO BORINI has set his sights on a scoring against his former club Liverpool after his unhappy spell at Anfield.
The Italian made just 38 appearances and scored three goals for the Reds in two seasons, separated by a loan move to Sunderland.
The 24-year-old made a permanent switch to the Black Cats in the summer after rejecting a move the previous year.
And after two goals in consecutive games at Chelsea and Manchester City, Borini is eager to make a point against his former club.
"Obviously, the goals give you a little bit of confidence," he said.
"But at the end of the day, all that matters is the result.
"Yes, I’d like to score against Liverpool. More than anyone else.
"I’ve said everything I want to already about my time there. But these games are both huge for us.
"We have a points target for the next few games and that’s what we’re obviously trying to achieve."
