Diego Costa says his bib bust-up with Jose Mourinho is in the past |
DIEGO COSTA has claimed throwing his bib at Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was done on impulse.
The Blues striker made the gesture towards Mourinho after being dropped for the 0-0 draw with Tottenham last month.
Costa was restored to the Chelsea line-up last night and repaid Mourinho by creating the opener.
The Spaniard's goal went in off Porto's Marcano Sierra to open the scoring in their 2-0 win to guarantee a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

And Costa has admitted his bib bust-up with Mourinho was a mistake, one he hopes the pair can put behind them.
"The bib [incident] is in the past," he said. "I made a mistake but my relationship with Mourinho is amazing, we get on really well.
"There are things you need to control, but the bib thing was an impulse."

Costa has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this season after scoring just four times in 19 appearances.
And the 27-year-old refused to rule out the possibility of an eventual return to old club Atletico Madrid.
"You never know, look where Filipe Luis is now," Costa said.
"Life takes plenty of twists and turns. I always wish Atletico the best and I always follow them, support them from afar."
