CHRIS EUBANK SR claimed his son stepped out of his shadow with his demolition of Gary O'Sullivan.
Eubank Jr, 26, became the mandatory challenger for WBA middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs after O'Sullivan retired at the end of the seventh round.
The son of former two-weight world champion Eubank Sr looked stunning as he picked apart the brave Irishman and landed huge right uppercuts that shook his man to his boots.
And his father said: "This performance showed he has stepped out of my shadow and out on his own."
