CHELSEA'S chances of a respectable finish in the league this year are not over, according to Paul Scholes.
The Blues sit 14th in the table, just three points above the relegation zone after a disastrous start to the season under Jose Mourinho.
Guus Hiddink has since taken charge and Chelsea are yet to lose under the Dutchman.
Chelsea have struggled to score goals with Diego Costa failing to deliver consistently and last season's PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard still yet to score this campaign.
Loic Remy has been in and out of the starting XI while Radamel Falcao is yet to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.
But Scholes believes the Blues can still finish in the top half of the table if they sign a striker in January.
“I can see them top six, top seven maybe. But I’m sure once they get a centre-forward back they’ll get up that league," he told BT Sport.
“They have to be better than they were here today. They looked tired to me.
“But I expect them to start winning games and move up that league.”
