ARSENAL are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach's Havard Nordtveit in January, according to reports.

Arsenal plan surprise move for former youth prospect to ease midfield injury crisis
Havard Nordtveit could be on his way back to Arsenal

Nordtveit played for the Gunners as a teenager, but failed to make a single appearance for the first-team and moved to the Bundesliga in 2010.
And according to Sky Deutschland, Arsene Wenger is now interested in bringing the Norwegian back to north London, as he looks to ease his midfield injury crisis.
The Gunners are currently without Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, and first-choice midfield pairing Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla, who are both on the sidelines until March at the earliest.

Arsenal are expected to face competition from Bayern Munich, Leicester City and Everton in the race for the Nodrtveit's signature next month.
The 25-year-old has impressed this season for Monchengladbach, making 22 appearances including two against Manchester City in the Champions League.
His contract expires at the end of the season with the German club, but they are keen for him to sign a new deal.
Nodrtveit could join Mohamed Elneny at Arsenal, after the Gunners agreed a £7million fee for the FC Basel midfielder.
