Napoli have not made a move for Adrien Rabiot |
ARSENAL have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The Gunners are reportedly lining up a loan move for the Frenchman after suffering a number of key injuries in the midfield department.
Arsene Wenger has been without Jack Wilshere (leg) all season, but has more recently lost the services of first-team regulars Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla (both knee).
Rabiot was linked with a move to Napoli earlier this week, with reports suggesting he favours the Serie A giants.
The 20-year-old's agent, Arnaud Pericard, insists there has been no approach from the Italian club, but has confirmed his client is in the market for a temporary switch.
"Rabiot to Napoli? Maybe on holiday… Nobody has contacted me from the Italian club," Pericard said.
Arsene Wenger is keen to replace injury pair Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin in January |
"It is true that Rabiot has asked to leave on loan, but at the moment he is playing consistently.
"He was a starter against Shakhtar and against Lyon, things could therefore change and he could finally decide to stay at PSG."
