OLIVIER GIROUD continued his excellent recent goalscoring form with the opener for France against Germany last night.
The Arsenal star scored just before half time thanks to a brilliant piece of individual play by Manchester United's Anthony Martial.
Out on the left side of the penalty area, Martial showed strength to outmuscle Antonio Rudiger then dropped his shoulder to waltz past Matthias Ginter and pass to the unmarked Giroud for the easiest of finishes.
The match was then settled in the 86th minute when Andre-Pierre Gignac headed home a cross from Blaise Matuidi.
Despite the win, the game was overshadowed by the terrorist attacks which took place outside the Stade de France and across Paris.
Explosions could be heard early in the match and with fans unable to leave after full-time, many came on to the pitch.
As it stands, at least least 128 people have been confirmed dead in gun and bomb attacks with around 180 injured.
