Anthony Martial was a constant threat for France |
NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you all the latest news from Old Trafford.
Anthony Martial starred for France last night as they beat Germany 2-0 at the Stade de France.
The Manchester United attacker beat two men before passing to Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud to finish in the first half.
Andre-Pierre Gignac got France’s second of the match, which was overshadowed by the terrorist attacks which took place outside the stadium and across Paris.
United have reportedly made an approach for Valencia’s Sofiane Feghouli.
The Algerian international has less than a year left on his contract and is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January if a new deal is not agreed.
According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Feghouli’s situation has alerted manager Louis van Gaal and the club have started talks.
Inter Milan, Roma and Spurs are also said to be interested in the player.
Michael Carrick could be out for several weeks after leaving the field for England on a stretcher in their 2-0 defeat to Spain last night.
The 34-year-old went down awkwardly late on and England boss Roy Hodgson suggested the player may have suffered ligament damage.
He said: "Michael has got a severely twisted ankle which normally means ligament damage.
"We won't know that of course until he's had an X-ray or a scan, but it doesn't look good."
