The Liverpool manager masterminded a comfortable 3-1 win to record his first ever victory in the Premier League and heap the pressure on Blues counterpart Jose Mourinho.
With the scores locked at 1-1, Morais seemed to take exception to Klopp's animated style in the technical area.
But the German gave as good as he got.
News News Blog Sport understands Mourinho's job at Stamford Bridge is hanging by a thread after the result and owner Roman Abrmamovich's patience may have come to the end of its tether.
Whether or not he actually wields the axe remains to be seen but the Portuguese came across as a man who is feeling the heat.
During his post-match media responsibilities, he refused to answer any questions posed by BT Sport.
And when reporters asked him to explain his sides' demise in his press conference, he was in an equally prickly mood.
"Did you see the game?" he snapped.
He was then asked to assess the referee's performance and replied: "What do you think? You are not punished by the FA.
"I'm punished if I tell you," said Mourinho, who is subject to two separate and ongoing disciplinary procedures from the Football Association."
Bookmakers have suspended betting on him losing his job and are backing Carlo Ancelotti to come back as the man to replace him.
There is also the possibility that a temporary appointment will be made for the remainder of the season, with Pep Guardiola coming in at the end of the campaign when his contract at Bayern Munich.
Brendan Rodgers and Diego Simeone are another two names that have been mentioned.
