QUIQUE FLORES has begun talks with Watford chiefs over his January transfer plans - but admits he is worried the meeting came too soon.
The Hornets have exceeded expectations with four wins and four draws under their belt from their opening 13 Premier League matches.
And Flores does not want to get ahead of himself with three key games coming up against struggling opposition Aston Villa, Sunderland and Norwich.
"I am not really thinking about that," admitted the Hornets boss. "For sure these kind of things can disturb the focus in the next match.
"Yesterday I had a meeting with the sport directors, the people who are working for that in the club.
"That’s because this is my work, but I don’t like to talk about what will happen in two months because generally it’s so far away."
Flores reckons his squad is now starting to take shape now, but says he has merely laid the foundations of what he is trying to build.
He added: "We are building a new team - we have very important players, new players, new squad.
"We are new in this division after a lot of years, so we are expecting a lot. We are starting. Just starting."
