NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest news from Old Trafford.
Ander Herrera revealed his determination to fight for his place, even if Louis van Gaal signs players in his position.
Herrera has never nailed down a permanent place in Van Gaal's starting eleven due to injury and rotation.
Manchester United have been linked with several players ahead of the upcoming transfer window but Herrera is unperturbed.
He told United Review: "The most difficult thing is to stay at a big club. Of course, it is difficult to arrive at a big team in the first place, but it is even harder to stay there.
"The club has the possibility to sign new players and it’s a very powerful club so all players want to play here. I have to fight for my position and gain my position and I will do it."
James Wilson says his decision to join Brighton on a season-long loan was "easy".
"There were a lot of good clubs that came in for me but once Brighton were mentioned, I've been monitoring them, because they've been doing well in the league," the 19-year-old said.
"I've watched a few of the games when I can, so it was an easy decision for me really.
"I asked Jesse Lingard [who was previously on loan at Brighton] for some advice too, and about what it was like here. He told me it's a great club.
"Everyone I've spoken to has said it's a brilliant set-up and a brilliant club, with a great bunch of lads."
Jesse Lingard is doubtful for tomorrow night's top of table clash with Leicester with a tight hamstring.
The 22-year-old was given a 50/50 chance of playing at the King Power Stadium and could miss out along with Phil Jones and Herrera who are also carrying knocks.
Michael Carrick is also unlikely to feature as he is still recovering from the ankle injury.
